Job description

Position Summary 

The Product Management MBA Intern will support Vertiv's Power Solutions & Distribution (PSD) business by assisting with product strategy, portfolio management, market analysis, and growth initiatives. The intern will work closely with the Product Management team on strategic projects and recommendations that support business growth, profitability, and new product development efforts. The internship provides hands-on experience in managing a global technology product portfolio serving the data center and critical infrastructure markets. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to identify growth opportunities and product strategy recommendations. 

  • Analyze product portfolio performance, revenue trends, and profitability drivers. 

  • Support evaluation of emerging technologies and new market opportunities. 

  • Develop business cases and strategic recommendations for new product or feature investments. 

  • Assist Product Managers with product roadmap development and portfolio planning activities. 

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify unmet needs and product improvement opportunities. 

  • Create executive-level presentations and recommendations for business leaders. 

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on portfolio expansion, market share growth, and profitability improvement. 

  • Support analysis and recommendations related to product positioning, pricing, and competitive differentiation.

Qualifications 

Required 

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program with expected graduation within 12-24 months. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. 

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data into actionable business recommendations. 

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred 

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, computer science, or a related technical field. 

  • Prior experience in product management, strategy, consulting, engineering, operations, or technology industries. 

  • Interest in data center infrastructure, power systems, electrical equipment, industrial technology, or AI-related markets. 

  • Experience with market research, business case development, product strategy, or data analytics.
