Job Overview:
One key segment of the aviation market that Alton is focused on serving intensively is the aircraft leasing and financing industry. Our Aircraft Financial amp; Technical Services team provides comprehensive support in this market from strategy to transaction support to execution.
Associates from our group are responsible for the day-to-day analytical work within our team. Throughout your work with us, you will be working closely in tight-knit teams with Alton’s principals to apply commercial expertise and rigorous analysis to support aircraft and spare engine investments and financings. While a major focus is expected to be preparing aviation financing cash flow forecasts for aircraft being acquired, leased, financed, and sold, you will also participate in other tasks such as market research and data analysis. You will come to develop a deep understanding of aircraft investment mechanics and have a direct stake in supporting Alton’s aviation clients. Your job responsibilities will grow as you continuously hone your skillset, taking on successively greater responsibilities within the Aircraft Financial amp; Technical Services team to help deliver value to Alton’s clients on a daily basis. As part of our commitment to professional development, Alton will provide you with initial training when you join, ensuring you are equipped to grow and excel in your role.
The internship role is a full-time position, and the base salary range for this role is $87,500-$97,500.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work as a member of the Aircraft Finance and Technical group on client engagements to gather, analyze, and interpret data to forecast how specific aircraft that are the subject of investment will be leased, operated and maintained, and the cash flows that will be exchanged by the airline and the owner of the aircraft during leases
  • Conduct market research, and performing both quantitative and qualitative analyses (including financial model development)
  • Contribute to the growth of the company in an entrepreneurial environment and support the development of company intellectual property
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Background:
Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM or a similar discipline with demonstrated strong academic performance from a top educational institution.
Qualities:

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • High level of motivation and drive for excellence
  • High level of focus on work quality and attention to detail
  • Comprehension of finance fundamentals and strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency Microsoft Excel and strong programming skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft VBA and/or Python is a strong positive
  • Ability to perform under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Desire to work in a multicultural, diverse, and team-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Limited travel is anticipated to be required.
