Job description

A Tooling Price Analyst position is currently available in Belcan"s West Palm Beach facility. The Tooling Price Analyst is responsible for performing preliminary and final price analysis of tooling packages submitted to the customer. This role evaluates tooling costs exceeding a certain threshold to determine whether proposed prices are fair and reasonable using historical data, comparative analysis, industry indices, and other cost evaluation methods. The analyst prepares detailed feedback and communicates findings to the customer using standard price analysis templates.
Job Duties:
* Review tooling packages, including Manifest Forms and tool photographs, upon receipt.
* Conduct preliminary and final price analyses for tooling line items with values exceeding a certain threshold.
* Determine whether proposed tooling costs are fair and reasonable.
* Request additional information from suppliers when sufficient data is not available to support a determination.
* Prepare and submit price analysis feedback to customer using the approved email template.
* Perform various forms of cost analysis, including:
* Historical price analysis
* Comparative pricing analysis
* Industry index analysis
* Cost trend analysis
* Compilation of facts surrounding tool design, manufacture, and procurement
* Research and evaluate historical purchase order data and prior tooling acquisitions.
* Compare current pricing against previous procurements and market indicators.
* Analyze factors impacting tooling costs, including:
* Price per pound
* Design complexity
* Labor hours
* Material content
* Manufacturing processes
* Tool size and configuration
* Inflation and escalation factors
* Supplier-specific cost drivers
* Document analysis findings and maintain supporting records for audit purposes.
* Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Suppliers, and Customer representatives to obtain required information.
* Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company procedures, and contractual obligations.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in procurement, cost analysis, pricing, estimating, supplier management, or related fields.
* Experience within aerospace, manufacturing, or defense industries preferred.
* Familiarity with tooling and capital equipment procurement is a plus.
Preferred:
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
* Experience performing price and cost analyses.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tooling descriptions, and manufacturing processes.
* Knowledge of price reasonableness methodologies and procurement practices.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering an hourly rate of $83,200 to $91,520 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
