Job Description

MTHA establishes market analytics function and capability to assess in-house development projects and in-licensing candidates.

Analyzes the treatment paradigm, unmet medical needs and competitive landscape and evaluates revenue and profit potential of in-house development projects and in-licensing candidates by desk top research as well as market research with third-party market research firms
Analyzes target therapeutic areas' and potential target therapeutic areas' unmet medical needs, competitive landscape and key success factors
Collect and present to senior leadership information on events and trends in the U.S. pharmaceutical market and industry that will impact our strategies and business development in the U.S.
Supports decision-making by providing information and analyses, business insights and recommendations
Support creating analyses and presentations for senior leadership
Proactively seeks out and evaluates new data sources, tools and analytics to help improve forecast models, process and techniques
Interact and coordinate with various functional departments as required
Performs other developmental duties as assigned

Qualifications

At least 10-12 years pharmaceutical/healthcare industry experience; At least 8 years market analytics experience; Previous commercial assessment and product forecasting experience; Consulting experience in pharmaceuticals/healthcare preferred; A strong scientific background with the ability to effectively work with clinical development and other key groups.
BS required with MBA preferable.


Ability to analyze and understand complex data and research to inform decisions and communicate effectively; Highly proficient in MS Office and experienced in using Excel and other analytical tools to develop pharmaceutical product forecast models and quantitative analyses; Working knowledge/understanding of the Pharma industry and general ability related to drugs/treatments and various disease states, as well as an understanding of the regulatory and commercializationย requirements; Credibility, accessibility, responsiveness and attention to detail a must;ย 

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities; Ability to synthesize complex information and distill critical insights to inform commercial assessments; Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
