Position Overview

The Asset Allocation Specialist – Private Markets supports investment teams by analyzing, monitoring, and recommending allocations across private market strategies. The role blends quantitative analysis, portfolio optimization, and investment research to help guide allocation decisions across private equity, private credit, real assets, and other alternative investments.

This position involves close collaboration with portfolio managers, investment committees, and risk teams to ensure well-structured and diversified private market portfolios.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze private market strategies and assess portfolio allocations across private equity, private credit, real assets, infrastructure, and venture capital

  • Support investment committees by providing data-driven insights and recommendations on private markets allocations

  • Build and maintain models, dashboards, and tools for portfolio construction, performance tracking, and scenario analysis

  • Conduct due diligence on fund managers, co-investments, and direct private market opportunities

  • Monitor portfolio performance, NAVs, cash flows, and risk exposures across private market investments

  • Research market, sector, and macroeconomic trends to inform allocation decisions and optimize portfolio diversification

  • Prepare regular reporting and presentations for senior management and stakeholders

  • Identify opportunities to improve portfolio efficiency, risk-adjusted returns, and allocation strategies


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of private markets, alternative investments, and portfolio construction

  • Experience or coursework in asset allocation, private equity, private credit, or real assets (preferred but not required)

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or VBA is a plus
