Job description

The Clinical Nurse Specialist provides clinical leadership, education, and program support to healthcare provider organizations adopting the Quanta Dialysis System (QDS), including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and dialysis clinics. This role is responsible for delivering clinical education, training nurses and clinical teams, supporting dialysis program implementation, and partnering cross-functionally with sales and clinical teams to drive successful therapy adoption and utilization.

This is a non-direct patient care role focused on education, program development, and clinical partnership. The position requires extensive travel, including overnight stays, and a mix of onsite training, virtual education, and home-based administrative work. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the clinical lead for assigned hospitals, post-acute facilities, and dialysis clinics implementing or utilizing the Quanta Dialysis System.
  • Deliver approved clinical training programs and educational materials to healthcare providers, including “train-the-trainer” initiatives supporting sustainable program development.
  • Support dialysis program launch, growth, and optimization through education, workflow guidance, and utilization best practices.
  • Plan and deliver regional educational programs and training sessions for nurses and clinical teams using approved Quanta resources.
  • Provide clinical guidance to programs supporting patients transitioning from home hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, or transplant pathways, as appropriate.
  • Assist healthcare organizations with development of dialysis program infrastructure, including processes, quality tracking, and clinical workflows.
  • Partner closely with Clinical, Sales, and Account teams to support strategic account planning, program expansion, and utilization growth.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of activities and engagement within the Quanta CRM system.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge through nephrology literature, continuing education, and ongoing training on Quanta therapies and products.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Ability to travel nationally 75% of the time
  • Minimum 5 years of dialysis clinical experience
  • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) preferred
  • Acute roles: ICU CRRT or acute dialysis experience preferred
  • Chronic roles: home hemodialysis training experience preferred
  • Strong presentation, training, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, travel schedules, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Proficient computer and documentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel
  • Ability to stand for extended training sessions, up to 4 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing and healthcare facility compliance requirements
