Job description

The Per Diem Clinical Nurse Specialist provides clinical education and onsite training support to healthcare organizations adopting the Quanta Dialysis System (QDS), including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and dialysis clinics. This role plays an influential part in the training and onboarding of new customers by educating nurses and clinical teams and helping customers confidently implement Quanta technology.

This is a per diem, non-direct patient care role with assignments offered based on customer training needs. Assignments will typically require nationwide travel by plane and week-long hotel stays. The role is best suited for experienced dialysis nurses who are currently working per diem or part time, or retired dialysis nurses who want to remain active in clinical education. Candidates must have the flexibility and availability to accept frequent assignments, sometimes with limited advance notice.

Candidates are compensated on a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver approved onsite clinical training programs and educational materials to nurses and clinical teams using the Quanta Dialysis System.
  • Support the training and onboarding of new customers during initial program implementation and launch.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and credible clinical resource throughout each training assignment.
  • Provide hands on instruction, workflow guidance, and product education in a non direct patient care setting.
  • Help reinforce safe, consistent, and effective use of the Quanta Dialysis System through approved training practices.
  • Partner closely with Quanta Clinical, Sales, Account, and Service teams to support a coordinated customer experience.
  • Adapt training delivery to the needs, experience levels, and workflows of different customer teams and care settings.
  • Complete required training documentation, expense reporting, and other assignment related administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain current knowledge of dialysis practices and complete ongoing training on Quanta therapies, products, and approved educational materials.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum 5 years of dialysis clinical experience
  • Strong dialysis training, preceptor, educator, or clinical leadership experience preferred
  • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) preferred
  • Acute dialysis, ICU CRRT, chronic dialysis, or home hemodialysis experience strongly preferred
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to confidently educate and engage groups of nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Availability to accept frequent week long travel assignments across the United States
  • Ability to travel by plane, stay in hotels, and work onsite for the duration of each assignment
  • Flexibility to accept assignments based on changing customer needs, including assignments offered with limited advance notice
  • Ability to stand for extended training sessions of up to 4 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing and healthcare facility compliance requirements
