Job Summary:

The Junior CMI Specialist is an entry-level member of the LAD Consumer & Market Insights team, supporting research and analysis that inform product innovation and new technology development. This role provides hands-on exposure to quantitative and qualitative research methods, consumer data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, working under the direct mentorship of the Principal CMI Specialist & UX Researcher. It is designed as a development track toward CMI Specialist responsibilities. This position is full-time and fully on-site. Some domestic and international travel is required.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing, executing, and analyzing surveys, focus groups, and other primary consumer research studies under the direction of senior CMI staff.
  • Support secondary market research and competitor intelligence, organizing findings into clear, structured summaries for the team.
  • Perform data collection, cleaning, and aggregation to build and maintain research databases.
  • Use tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Salesforce to analyze consumer and market data and surface actionable insights.
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials, dashboards, and research reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics for research activities, including participant recruiting, session scheduling, and timeline tracking.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, R&D, and Product Development on innovation and new technology initiatives.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving internal research documentation, templates, and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Consumer and Marketing Analytics, or similar discipline. Master's degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience; internship or academic research project experience will be considered in lieu of full-time experience.
  • Proficient in quantitative, qualitative, and data analytic tools to translate VOC into innovative products.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple research activities at once.
  • Genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn quantitative and qualitative consumer research methods.
  • Collaborative mindset; comfortable working with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship, co-op, or academic project experience in market research, consumer insights, sales analytics, or a related analytical field.
  • Familiarity with CRM or data platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Coursework, minor, or applied project experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, or data analysis.
