Job description

Overview
If you desire a hands-on opportunity to apply your exceptional analytical and communication skills in a performance-based, data-driven firm and build a path of recognition and growth to future firm leadership opportunities, this is for you!
Kimley-Horn is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Greenwood Village, Colorado (CO) office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
  • Support the annual business planning/budgeting processes through preparation of data and analyses
  • Partner with internal functions to analyze current month activity against approved budgets, assessing impact on projected annual profitability
  • Assist in monthly forecasting of operating expenses
  • Preparation of interim and monthly financial reports and responding to related inquiries
  • Performance of data requests, financial analyses, and other financial modeling, as requested by those throughout the firm, including senior executives
  • Respond to financial surveys throughout the year
  • Assist with special projects among various teams nationwide

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Alteryx, VBA, Power Query, and SQL skills preferred
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Excellent quantitative skills combined with an ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations
  • High degree of professionalism and the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization from new hires to senior executives
  • Exceptional client service mentality and strong work ethic
  • Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements
  • Must be an excellent team player as well as work independently

Salary Range:
  • $75,000 - $85,000
  • Eligible for performance based bonuses
