Position Overview

Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician responsible for supporting the improvement of product quality through Continuous Improvement Projects, Inspection, Rework, and Refurbishment of products sold by Johnson Health Tech. Duties include working directly with operations and factory teams to improve quality, supporting the documentation and tracking of defects, and coordinating rework efforts to fix issues as soon as possible in accordance with company policies and procedures.ย 


Responsibilities

Inspection

Participate in First Piece inspection of new finished goods and parts

Participate in Targeted Inspection of inventory based on issues found

Participate in Inbound, assembly, and outbound quality


Rework

Participate in Rework of finished goods

Travel to warehouses as needed


Refurbishment

Maintain refurbishment SOP's

Maintain refurbishment part and finished good targets


Training

Face to face interaction with Operations Teams on a consistent basis

Research proper procedures and provide instructions

Report defects and train teams on entering defects into tracking system

Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects


Requirements

Education:

High school diploma required

Associate degree in technical field preferred

Additional training and/or certifications in quality systems preferred


Experience:

Assembly experience preferred

Past experience in an inspection or repair service role preferred


Other Requirements:

Proficiency in Office 365 products

SAP experience preferred

Forklift certification

Familiarity with measuring instruments. ย Examples include: VOM calipers, tension gauges, etc.

Valid drivers license is required

Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationallyย 


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may lift, push, and pull weights up to 50 pounds in situations to support operations when needed. ย The majority of the time the employee will be involved in activities that require sitting, standing and walking in a production facility. The employee will need to grasp small objects and have visual acuity for operating the mechanical tools of the trade. ย 


Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use tools such as multi-meters, calipers, and measurement blocks which expose them to electrical currents. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. ย While performing the duties of this job, the employee should not be subjected to situations which negatively affect their health with respect to air quality or noise levels, etc.
