Job description

Summary

A Quality Engineer provides statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples.
Position Description/General responsibilities include:

  • Assist with maintenance of the Quality System.
  • Assist Quality Manager & Supervisor in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
  • Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
  • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to internal/external customer complaints.
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
  • Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.
  • Preparation of QA weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
  • Develop training to build quality awareness.
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
  • Manage suppliers performance and conduct audits.

Education and/or Experience

Job Requirements:

  • ISO Auditor.
  • Mid-Level Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Computer knowledge, functionality, technical interaction of sub-assemblies.
  • English as either primary or secondary language.
  • College Education: Bachelors Degree preferred.

Working Condition

Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
