Job description

Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, provides compassionate home care, facility based, and inpatient hospice services to our patients and their families. Our home care coverage area spreads throughout several counties in Western Pennsylvania with inpatient locations in Wexford, Cabot, and Beaver. The Good Samaritan Hospice team works together to provide relief through pain control and symptom management, while offering emotional, social and spiritual support for the patient and family. Good Samaritan Hospice is seeking a part time Compliance and Quality Supervisor to be based out of our Middlesex office location. The Compliance and Quality Supervisor is a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for the coordination of compliance to government and corporate regulations and Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities. This excellent salaried opportunity comes with an extensive benefits package. The position is part time, working 4 days a week between Monday through Friday - with the schedule based on the needs of the agency week to week. It also includes a weekend on-call rotation to assist with any questions or concerns from the patients, families or our clinicians.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred
  • Five (5) years nursing experience preferred
  • Two (2) years hospice experience with a strong knowledge of hospice regulatory standards preferred
  • Ability to implement and maintain audits for compliance and quality
  • Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel and quality programs specific to hospice
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) that facilitate staff education related to quality outcomes and expectations
