The Performance Manager is responsible for driving organizational effectiveness by establishing, monitoring, and improving performance management processes, metrics, and outcomes in support of Enterprise IT Services provided to the Air Force. The performance managers partners with leadership, functional teams, and stakeholders to align strategic objectives with measurable performance goals, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, employee performance, and mission success.
This position will be hybrid, with onsite work in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities:
Performance Management & Strategy
  • Develop and maintain organizational performance management frameworks, processes, and standards.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and performance targets aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor organizational performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Facilitate performance reviews, assessments, and reporting cycles.

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret performance data from multiple sources.
  • Develop executive-level dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Continuous Improvement
  • Lead initiatives focused on process optimization, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses to address performance gaps and organizational challenges.
  • Implement best practices and performance improvement methodologies.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align performance goals with organizational priorities.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • US Citizen with active DoD Secret clearance
  • BS/BA Degree (Bachelor's Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in performance management, business operations, strategic planning, or organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and executive performance reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Desired:
  • ITIL v4 Certification
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Organizational Leadership, or related field.
  • Experience supporting government, defense, or large enterprise organizations.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Agile, or similar methodologies.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or SHRM

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
