Microbiology Lab Manager
Nashville, TN | Full-Time | Day Shift | No Weekends

We are seeking an experienced Microbiology Manager to lead laboratory operations and ensure high-quality diagnostic testing that supports exceptional patient care. This role oversees daily microbiology lab functions, staff development, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily microbiology laboratory operations and staff
  • Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, JCAHO, FDA, and CMS standards
  • Lead staff hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Maintain quality control and laboratory accreditation readiness
  • Collaborate with the medical director to improve lab performance and patient outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
  • National Certification as Medical Technologist required
  • 3+ years Microbiology Technologist experience
  • Experience in a high-volume hospital or clinical lab
