KEY TASKS

·         Process Audit, which includes visual/functional evaluation of product, and verifying production activities are following the control plan, job aids, and ASAS-P.

·         Review product and processes to ensure alignment with established quality standards and procedures

·         Review and revise quality control procedures as required

·         Develop quality training plans to train others as necessary, which partially includes 5S activity

·         Maintain Quality Systems record and materials in accordance with Company procedures well as QS/ISO and all relative quality-specific customer

·         File and maintain various quality related documents as required

·         Prepare quality reports for management and team members as necessary

·         Knowledge and understanding of Customer Specific requirements

·         Review processes to ensure alignment with established quality standards and procedures

·         Oversee Quality personnel duties including daily product test, data entry, gage set-ups, reproducibility and repeatability audits, “hold tag” administrations, record retention, and calibration

·         Schedule and monitor completion of product testing (internal/external) To obtain and/or maintain type approvals for ECE, FMVSS, CCC, In Metro, etc

·         Prepare and send out lab samples as needed and required to complete task by due dates

·         Maintain and prepare testing records needed for Quality Lab for testing/certifications

·         Prepare samples/equipment for DVP&R testing, regulatory audits, and conduct tests

·         CMM/Faro Arm Program writing/use

·         Maintain & validate Tier 1 product certificates

OTHER RESPONSIBILITES

·         Create and provide Quality Training for production

·         Assist with functioning retesting when needed.

·         Assist with prototype projects.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • BS Degree in technical field preferred

Years of Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in all aspects of quality department

Other Requirements:

  • Capable of creating and training modules for large groups of employees.
  • Ability to be flexible and make good decisions.
  • Basic PC (Microsoft Office).
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and work well with people is required.
  • Valid driver’s license required for business travel.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.
  • Cooperate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilities.
  • Overtime may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintenance of reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours and on call 24/7.
  • Pushing, pulling, standing, walking, lifting to 35 lbs. in weight for long hours.
  • Travel to customer and abroad.
  • Work activities on the production floor, exposure to plant equipment and safety hazards.
  • Steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and dress code are required.
