Engineering Lab Manager

What Youโll Bring:
- Bachelorโs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of five yearsโ experience in a laboratory, product-testing, compliance, or engineering environment
- Proven leadership in managing laboratory testing activities
- Experience within manufacturing, particularly in HVAC, refrigeration, commercial appliances, or related fields
- Familiarity with product safety and sanitation testing standards
- Knowledge of UL, NSF, ETL, AHRI, ASHRAE, Department of Energy, OSHA requirements
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret technical documents, schematics, and CAD drawings (SolidWorks preferred)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with three-dimensional CAD software, especially SolidWorks
- Prior experience working with external testing agencies and certification organizations
- Knowledge of regulatory updates and compliance strategies
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelorโs degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- At least five years of relevant industry experience, including laboratory management and product testing
- Background working in a manufacturing setting, especially in HVAC or refrigeration
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to coordinate testing schedules and partner with engineering and manufacturing teams
- Strong documentation and organizational skills for maintaining detailed compliance and test records
- Ability to support internal audits and regulatory inspections
