Quality Inspector - Aerospace
Dimensional Inspection • GD&T • Precision Measurement • Aerospace Manufacturing
We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of aerospace parts throughout the production lifecycle. You'll work with precision measuring instruments, interpret engineering blueprints, apply GD&T principles, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain the highest quality standards.
What you'll do
  • Conduct comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished aerospace parts against design specifications
  • Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments - micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and bore gauges
  • Assess part acceptability, approve conforming parts, and quarantine non-conforming items with documented NCRs
  • Interpret detailed engineering blueprints and technical drawings to verify tolerances and critical dimensions
  • Apply GD&T symbols and principles to assess complex part geometries for alignment with functional and design intent
  • Maintain precise inspection records and complete quality checklists to support audit readiness
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify issues and propose improvements

What you need
  • Experience performing dimensional inspections in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency operating precision measuring instruments - micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and bore gauges
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings
  • Working knowledge of GD&T principles and symbols
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy

Nice to have
  • Experience writing or processing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100
  • Experience with CMM operation or advanced metrology equipment
