Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector / Test Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring products meet established quality standards through inspection, testing, documentation, and compliance with our Quality Management System (QMS). This role requires strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to work with precision inspection and testing equipment.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform pre-plating, post-plating, final inspections, and hermeticity testing in accordance with applicable quality plans and customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the QT9 Quality Management System (QMS), including interpreting and following quality plans and procedures.
  • Utilize the ABAS ERP system to access, maintain, and document quality-related information.
  • Initiate, document, and process Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs) as required.
  • Complete Quality Assurance documentation accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner.
  • Perform detailed inspections using microscopes.
  • Operate vision inspection equipment, including Quick Scope and Keyence measurement systems.
  • Understand calibration requirements for inspection and measurement equipment and perform calibrations as authorized.
  • Operate and maintain quality and testing equipment, including:
    • Thermal Shock equipment
    • Thermal Cycle equipment
    • Vacuum Ovens
    • Soldering equipment
    • Force Measurement equipment
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with all applicable quality procedures and standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in internal audits and quality improvement activities as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform prolonged standing, walking, and visual inspections as required.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's Degree. Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, use standard measuring equipment, and possess basic computer skills.


Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret basic business correspondence, work instructions, and procedure manuals related to assigned job functions. Ability to communicate effectively with Sinclair personnel by presenting information clearly and responding appropriately to questions.


Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and apply fundamental mathematical concepts as required to complete job duties accurately.


Reasoning Ability: Ability to identify problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using sound judgment and logical reasoning.


Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods; communicate effectively by talking and listening; and frequently walk throughout the work area while carrying products or materials. The employee must be able to safely ascend and descend stairs while carrying up to 10 pounds.

The position requires frequent use of the hands and fingers for handling, gripping, squeezing, and manipulating products, tools, and equipment. The employee must also be capable of pushing, pulling, reaching, and performing overhead work as required.

Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception to perform inspection and production tasks accurately.
