Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector will visually inspect electric chain hoists, wire rope hoists, and power supplies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Visually inspect electric chain hoists, wire rope hoists and power supplies to ensure that they
meet outlined specifications and quality standards that have been set forth.
• Record and publish results of Factory Acceptance Test performed as well as feedback from
production line.
• Work with Production and Quality Engineer to ensure product quality.
• Provide input for inspection methods and improvements related to the job.
• Repair items that can be reworked to ensure that they are in stockable condition.
• Work with purchasing to ensure that suppliers are notified of issues with product that we have
received.
• Work with materials to restock items that are deemed acceptable or that have been repaired.
• Inspect returned hoists to determine what can be stocked on them when they are returned.
• Enter all relevant transactions in SAP.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Ability to effectively manage time, resolve problems, and make sound decisions.
• Ability to address multiple issues at the same time and work well under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have an advanced understanding of all products and components to be able to
troubleshoot units and be able to break down parts into stockable condition.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must possess good PC skills. SAP
• High attention to detail with the ability to read drawings and understand technical guides.
• Well-developed computer skills; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Associate's degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years related experience in a fast-paced environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to lift 20-40 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck.
