Job description

We are a top tier steel distributor specialized in automotive materials and a member of the Hyundai Motor Group. At Hyundai Steel we manufacture and sell our own steel products.

Our newest facility is located in Ellabell, Georgia where we receive coils of steel and aluminum in. The coils are then reduced by the slitting and/or blanking process, to dimensions specified by our customers to be used in the production of various automobile parts, which include the hood, fender, bumper, door panels, to name a few!

Overview:

As a Quality Inspector in our steel manufacturing plant, you will be an essential part of our commitment to delivering high-quality steel products to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality control procedures. By meticulously examining every aspect of our steel production process, you will help identify and rectify any deviations, defects, or non-conformities, ensuring that only top-tier products leave our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. In-Process Monitoring: Monitor various stages of the manufacturing process to identify any deviations from established quality standards.

2. Final Product Evaluation: Perform comprehensive inspections on finished steel products to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and adherence to customer specifications.

3. Defect Identification: Identify and document any defects, flaws, or imperfections in the steel products, utilizing visual inspections, precision measurement tools, and specialized testing equipment.

4. Quality Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test reports, and quality documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality management systems.
