ย  Overview
As a Quality Inspector (QA Inspector IPI), you will support Brightstar Lottery's quality assurance efforts by conducting in-process testing and inspections throughout printing and bindery operations for instant lottery tickets. This role helps ensure product quality, ticket security, compliance with established standards, and accurate communication of test results to manufacturing teams. This role will be located onsite in Lakeland, FL.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct in-process visual inspections to verify print quality, color consistency, registration accuracy, and test pattern integrity.
  • Evaluate ticket scratch-ability, opacity, barcode quality, and ticket construction against established standards.
  • Measure ticket dimensions and pack alignment using approved gauges and testing equipment.
  • Identify defects and support the segregation and quarantine of suspect materials during production runs.
  • Communicate inspection findings and quality risks to manufacturing teams and escalate critical issues to management.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, databases, documentation, and evidence sample files.
  • Support Quality Managers, Engineers, and Lab Technicians with testing, data collection, analysis, and reporting activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC processes in manufacturing, packaging, quality assurance, or related environments.
  • Understanding of basic mathematical concepts, including averages.

  • Printing industry or instant ticket scratch-off production experience.
  • Experience supporting defect investigations, controlled sample testing, and quality data analysis.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing and walking throughout approximately 90% of the workday.
  • Frequent bending, reaching above shoulder height, and performing repetitive inspection activities.
  • Lifting and moving light to medium materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Good manual dexterity to handle testing equipment, samples, and production materials.
  • Visual acuity needed to inspect ticket text, game symbols, print quality, and registration accuracy.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as business needs require.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $21.50 per hour. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
