The Quality Inspector is expected to maintain quality standards by approving purchased, in-process production, and finished products, recording quality results. The Quality Inspector must ensure that parts are manufactured to engineering design specifications.

 Compensation:

$18.00 to $28.00/hr

Essential Functions:

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·         Perform measurements of manufactured components to verify manufacturing specifications have been met.

·         Inspect machined work pieces or product at machine stations or inspection area to ensure conformance to specifications.

·         Measure dimensions such as angles, length, height, and distance between reference points using precision equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and CMM to ensure product specifications.

·         Approve incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.

·         Receiving of material from vendor and product when returned from outside processors.

·         Record inspection results on appropriate forms, including discrepancy reports when needed.
