Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to ensure products, materials, and manufacturing processes meet established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to identify defects, verify compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience working in quality control, manufacturing, production, or inspection environments. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct inspections of incoming materials, production processes, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications. Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional inspections using measuring instruments and testing equipment. Identify defects, non-conformities, and quality issues and document findings accurately.

Review blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and product specifications to ensure compliance requirements are met. Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and supporting documentation. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions.

Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure consistency and adherence to quality procedures. Assist with audits, process improvements, root cause analysis, and quality assurance initiatives. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable industry regulations.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection, quality control, manufacturing, production, or a related environment.

Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify quality issues accurately.

Proficiency with inspection documentation, quality reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, GMP, FDA, or other quality management systems. Certification such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or other relevant quality credentials is preferred. Experience in manufacturing sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical devices, electronics, industrial equipment, or consumer products is highly desirable.

Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $50,000 – $75,000 per year

Hourly Rate: $24 – $36 per hour

Compensation will be determined based on experience, certifications, technical skills, industry background, and geographic location. Eligible employees may also qualify for overtime pay, shift differentials, performance bonuses, and incentive programs where applicable.
