Job Information

Responsible for inspection and testing of incoming materials, materials in process, completed materials, and inspection at supplier and/or customer sites as needed. Prepare and complete internal and supplier related inspection documentation and corrective action reports. Assist with gage calibration of inspection equipment. Document all inspections activities in compliance with Doosan Quality policy standards and requirements. Identify efficiency, cost and quality improvement opportunities, and elevate for further assessment or implementation consideration.ย 

Role & Responsibility
  • Work from drawings and general instructions to plan and perform work which is process-defined or where only general operating methods are available; and some ingenuity, initiative and judgement are required to inspect production or developmental parts, tools, gages and other equipment.
  • Plan and perform inspection operations using existing and/or new or changed equipment including computerized measuring machines where programs may require modification to determine if materials meet specifications.
  • Provide suggestions/input for improvement in processes, methods and products.
  • Make decisions or elevates matters that are relevant and timely.
  • Accurately assess the quality implications of new information or events which may evoke a change to tooling or process.
  • Consider and suggest alternative solutions when defined paths meet resistance.
  • Apply root cause techniques and uses knowledge gained when resolving problems.
  • Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail.
Job Requirement

Education & Experience:

  • AA/AS or equivalent, or relevant certifications a plus.
  • Previous inspection experience.
  • Be willing to travel for up to 2~3 weeks' time periods and have no travel restrictions, including overseas.
  • Performance of overall quality assurance activities.
  • Experience working in a high-volume production environment.
  • Accountability for quality assurance of manufacturing materials.
  • Knowledge of ISO Standards - ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 are a plus.

Knowledge & Skill:

    • Knowledge of machine shop and manufacturing related practices, processes, methods and techniques.
    • Work from complicated drawings and make calculations using advanced shop mathematics.
    • Strong mathematics skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Solid documentation skills and practices.
    • Intense visual and mental attention on job at hand to assure completeness and accuracy.
