Quality Inspector I
About the Role:
As a Quality Inspector I in the Quality Assurance Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of products, components, and materials through meticulous inspection and testing. You will be responsible for conducting visual and dimensional inspections, performing tests, and documenting results to maintain product quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual inspections of incoming materials, components, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure accurate product dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform functional testing, performance testing, and other specified tests according to established procedures and test methods to evaluate product performance and functionality.
  • Record inspection and test results accurately and promptly in inspection reports, quality records, or electronic databases, ensuring completeness, traceability, and compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Identify and document non-conformities, deviations, or discrepancies observed during inspections or testing, and communicate findings to relevant personnel for investigation and resolution.
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address quality issues, improve processes, and prevent recurrence of non-conformities.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and tools in good working condition, perform calibration checks as required, and report any equipment malfunctions or deviations to management.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety protocols while performing inspection and testing activities to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
  • Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance knowledge, skills, and performance in quality inspection and assurance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to resolve quality-related issues, address customer concerns, and support quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Pay Disclosure:
The pay range for this position starts at $19 /hr.; however, base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
