Summary
This job is responsible for basic visual, dimensional, and/or functional inspection of parts.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform basic mechanical inspection of parts
  • Compile and maintain inspection records
  • Receive customer's returns (RMA) in the ERP system.
  • Perform inventory material transactions in the ERP system.
  • Execute diverse tasks including inventory material transfers, coordination with the regional Customer Care teams (US, EMEA and Japan), and provide information of RMA's status.
  • Review and prepare RMA repairs or replacements for shipping to customers.
  • Perform cycle counting as required.
  • Performs internal MRB rework as required
  • Proactively seek productivity improvement opportunities.
  • Discuss technical problems encountered with manager, engineering staff, or purchasing staff.
  • Ability to plan own work schedule based on material requirements and skillset possessed.

General Tasks
  • Strict compliance with quality, occupational safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
  • One (1) to two (2) years related experience.
  • High school, trade school or equivalent
  • Manual dexterity
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiar with data entry and basic computer skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with peers and superiors
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Proficient in the use of mechanical inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, surface plate techniques, air gage, go/no go gages, and other mechanical inspection equipment
  • Willing to work within the prescribed procedures
  • Positive attitude, willingness to work with peers
  • Displays a high moral and business code of conduct
  • Respectful of peers, subordinates, and supervisors

  • Job is performed while sitting or standing.

  • The salary for this role will range from $40,000 to $55,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.

  • Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
