Job Brief

The Quality Inspector I is responsible for performing routine inspections of products, materials, and production processes to ensure that they meet company and industry standards for quality, safety, and performance. This role plays a key part in identifying defects, non-conformance issues, and opportunities for improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing and technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on materials, components, subassemblies,
  • and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments to conduct inspections.
  • Verify that products conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and custome requirements.
  • Document inspection results by completing inspection reports, checklists, and quality records.
  • Identify non-conforming materials and communicate findings to the production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for product and process issues.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the
  • Quality Assurance department.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, production, and supply chain) to address quality concerns.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with mechanical and electronic measurement and inspection equipment (e.g. micrometers, calipers (digital and vernier), drop and depth gauges, microscopes, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ERP transactions.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies
