Job description

  • Provide supportfor Quality First rated Early Child Care Centers in Graham/Greenlee Counties todevelop Health and Safety plans, work with Quality First Coaches and Directorsto create annual plan of actions.
  • Responsible foranswering inquiries and providing information relating to completion of forms,meetings, materials, and record keeping. 
  • Understand theexisting curriculum and materials to effectively plan, deliver, and educate theprogram participants.
  • Keep accuraterecord of program participants, topics covered, activities completed andprepare monthly reports.
  • Assist withoutreach at the library, recreation centers, or special events by working at atable and handing out fliers to recruit teachers and parents. 
  • Provideinformation about the Graham County Cooperative Extension, and what thespecific program offers.
  • Providemonthly/quarterly meetings with ECE directors as a group for support and ideasthey share or new information from the First Things First and Quality Firstprograms as each center needs.
  • Assist withdevelopment of educational materials for instruction by watching trainingvideos with the team and brainstorming as a group how to incorporate theinformation into the curriculum.
  • Assist withtransitioning the training materials to an early learning level, or to a moreadvanced learning level.

Knowledge,Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability toreview the most recent Quality First Assessment, which is completed by aQuality First Assessor.
  • Ability toreview and consider data from the ERS Personal Care Routines section of theQuality First Assessment.
  • Knowledge ofthe ERS Personal Care Routines section including scores which entail thesetopics: Meals/Snacks, Diapering/Toileting, Health Practices, Safety Practices.
  • Knowledge ofteaching principles, practices, and procedures for both youth and adults.
  • Skill in teaching applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with youthand adults.
