We are currently looking for a Service Technician - Turf Equipment to join us in our New Bern store.


BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

โ€ข Performs basic diagnostic and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products

โ€ข Responsible for the disassembly, assembly, and repair of components and machines

โ€ข Performs all service tasks as assigned by the Service Manager

โ€ข Prepares all forms (detail of work performed on repair orders) required in conjunction with job assignments

โ€ข Reports any additional work required on equipment to the Service Manager, for proper and safe operation by the customer

โ€ข Participates in all training programs as directed by the Service Manager

โ€ข Accounts for all time and for all materials used in performing work duties

โ€ข Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion

โ€ข Reports any issues with shop tools, equipment or vehicles that are in a serviceable condition or are unsafe for use

โ€ข Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments


EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

โ€ข High School Diploma or equivalent experience required

โ€ข 3+ year(s) of experience performing service repairs

โ€ข Ability to write diagnosis and work completed on routine reports (repair orders)

โ€ข Proficient knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical systems and/or hydraulic systems

โ€ข Ability to use personal computer and various types of diagnostic equipment

โ€ข Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

โ€ข Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures

โ€ข Ability to speak effectively one-on-one with customers

โ€ข Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes

โ€ข Valid driverโ€™s license required for potential driving situations

โ€ข Ability to operate a forklift, preferred

โ€ข Must possess set of tools


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

โ€ข Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.

โ€ข Mobility: Squatting, bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, standing, and sitting

โ€ข Visual: Working with PC, smart devices, and close detailed work

โ€ข Driving: Occasional โ€“ Short and long distances

โ€ข Dexterity: Ability to grasp and manipulate standard tools and office equipment

โ€ข Noise: Medium to High
