The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer! This person will drive continuous improvement and ensure product and process excellence through the implementation and oversight of the Quality Management System (QMS). This role supports manufacturing operations, leads structured problem-solving efforts, and ensures compliance with quality standards and certifications.

The Quality Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues, support new product launches, and maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring consistent product quality and process performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for plant quality issues, including facilitating 8D problem-solving teams and verifying implementation of permanent solutions
  • Identify and drive quality improvement initiatives aligned with plant and organizational objectives
  • Interface with customers to resolve quality concerns, including managing returns, credits, and complaints
  • Support new product launches through participation in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and completion of PPAP submissions
  • Maintain and update quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEA, and process data tracking systems
  • Support ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications, including audits, compliance activities, and document control
  • Provide training to employees on quality tools, procedures, and standards
  • Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gauge R&R studies and maintain measurement equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams on quality-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Prepare and present internal and external quality reports and performance metrics
What We’re Looking For

RequiredQualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR equivalent experience (5+ years quality engineering experience with 10+ years manufacturing experience and active pursuit of an engineering degree)
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
  • Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, DOE, APQP, and 8D
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing role
  • Internship or project experience in quality control, process improvement, or manufacturing operations (for entry-level candidates)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience in extrusion or hose manufacturing environments
