Responsibilities

  • Support customers by addressing quality concerns, coordinating responses, and ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Utilize APQP processes to plan, monitor, and improve product and process quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Lead and participate in corrective action audits and cross-functional problem-solving teams to support continuous improvement and meet performance criteria.
  • Understand, communicate, and train operational personnel on customer-specific requirements to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Perform process capability and measurement studies using appropriate statistical techniques to evaluate and improve process performance.
  • Document manufacturing processes and implement continuous improvement actions to support quality, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Learn and interpret customer-specific quality system requirements and ensure they are integrated into internal processes and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison with external parties, including customers, on matters related to program and quality requirements.
  • Read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and direct dimensional layouts, and coordinate testing and timing as needed.
  • Participate in quality investigations to determine root causes, define corrective and preventive actions, and verify their effectiveness.
  • Support and contribute to the development and maintenance of the quality management system and related documentation.
  • Conduct or support audits related to quality systems, processes, and products to ensure ongoing compliance and performance.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with APQP processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis and root cause failure analysis for quality issues.
  • Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and requirements.
  • Experience with PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
  • Knowledge of quality engineering principles and practices in a production setting.
  • Experience working within a quality management system and quality management processes.
  • Ability to perform process capability and measurement studies using statistical techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T and dimensional layouts.
  • Strong skills in conducting and supporting audits related to quality.
