POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Quality Engineer - HVAC Manufacturing to support our HVAC manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, improving manufacturing processes, and supporting root cause investigations and driving continuous improvement across the production floor.

The ideal candidate brings strong HVAC knowledge, hands-on manufacturing experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, production and leadership teams.


WORK SCHEDULE

Monday to Friday | Day Shift


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and inspection processes for HVAC equipment
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives
  • Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to resolve quality issues and improve product reliability
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications
  • Monitor quality metrics and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Lead or support internal audits, supplier audits, and customer quality reviews
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support Lean/5S initiatives
  • Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and best practices
  • Manage non-conformance reporting (NCR) and ensure timely resolution of quality issues


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role (HVAC experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and assembly processes
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to product excellence
  • Experience with ISO standards, quality audits, or QMS systems is an asset
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Preferred Experience:
    HVAC manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication background
    Experience working in a fast paced production environment
    Familiarity with ERP systems and digital quality reporting tools
