Overview
US Conec is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to support precision manufacturing through advanced dimensional inspection, metrology, and quality assurance activities. In this role, you will develop and maintain CMM programs, validate product conformance to engineering specifications, and collaborate closely with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production teams to drive product quality and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, modify, validate, and troubleshoot Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs using PC-DMIS, Calypso, PCMIS, or similar metrology software
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and GD&T requirements to create accurate inspection strategies and measurement plans
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and First Article Inspections (FAI) to verify compliance with customer and engineering requirements
  • Analyze dimensional inspection data to identify trends, process variation, and nonconformances
  • Communicate inspection results and measurement findings to Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and production teams
  • Investigate dimensional issues and support root cause analysis and corrective action activities to improve manufacturing performance
  • Operate, maintain, and verify the performance of CMMs and related metrology equipment, including FARO Arms, Romer Arms, and portable measurement systems
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, measurement reports, and quality documentation in accordance with company and customer requirements
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve inspection methods, measurement efficiency, and overall product quality
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and internal procedures
Must Haves
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CMM programming and dimensional inspection within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with PC-DMIS, Calypso, PCMIS, or equivalent CMM programming software
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint interpretation
  • Experience operating CMMs and other dimensional inspection equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
