You will be a part of advancing critical U.S. supply chains and delivering unmatched quality and reliability to customers. 

Role Purpose

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports safe, reliable manufacturing operations within the Hemlock Wafer Plant Pulling Department by maximizing equipment uptime, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners with Engineering, Development, and Manufacturing teams to improve process performance, resolve technical issues, and ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment; partner with Engineering on non-routine repairs and defect resolution
  • Lead planned maintenance activities (preventative, corrective, and predictive) including coordination of parts, personnel, and startup communications
  • Apply root cause analysis to drive sustainable corrective actions and improve asset uptime
  • Support the shift from reactive to proactive maintenance to improve productivity and reduce costs
  • Participate in team meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree (2-year) in technical discipline, or 2+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial machines and equipment in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems and implement data-driven solutions
  • Experience supporting equipment maintenance or process improvements in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to work a 2-3-2 rotating scheduling including off-shift and weekend hours as needed
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with measurement, characterization, or ceramics processing technologies
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
  • Familiarity with 6-Sigma, Kepner-Tregoe (KT), Mission Essential Engineering (MEE) and/or DMAIC methodologies
  • Demonstrated track record delivering process improvements or step-change innovations in a manufacturing environment

The range for this position is  $59,029.00 - $81,165.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
