The Job:

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you'll be part of our Stanley Engineered Fastening (SEF) team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to:

  • Provide experienced quality support to product manufacturing, resolving defects and other issues and ensuring the product meets customer specifications.
  • Support the Plant Manager regarding the execution of the Quality Strategy around the Mission, Vision & Strategic Initiatives related to the manufacturing process improvement within the plant.
  • Support corporate quality initiatives as defined by the Regional Quality Director.
  • May assist in the hiring of Quality Engineers and oversee, mentor, and train junior quality engineers on policies and procedures.
  • Improve process capability by leveraging the Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) and Continuous Improvement methodology.
  • Process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Create/improve Standard Operating Procedures and deliver training to the Quality Engineers and operators.
  • Partner with all business functions to identify and eliminate any roadblock through working creatively within the team.
  • Address any process failure through formal Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Process
  • Engage in customer audits, complaints and problem-solving issues.
  • Review top issues for scrap and rework, initiate actions to reduce or eliminate these issues
  • Oversee New Product Launches and fulfill all Quality deliverables in the product launch cycle
  • Maintain and improve quality systems to maintain ISO9001 certification

  • A bachelor's degree or more in engineering or another related technical field with minimum five (5) years' experience in quality assurance or an associate degree or less with minimum six to eight (6-8) years' experience in quality assurance.
  • ASE and/or Six Sigma Certification is preferred but not required.
  • Quality Management Systems ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF-16949, Quality Assurance Processes and New Product Development approval process APQP/PPAP.
  • Experience Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
  • Demonstrated Project management skills, solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication & presentation skills both written & oral; ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Organized and disciplined with logical approach to data management.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, local and industry standards, guidelines and regulations.
