This position will support the development and continuous improvement of the facility's Quality Management System while helping ensure product and process quality across internal operations, customers, and suppliers. The Quality Engineer will investigate quality concerns, implement containment actions, identify root causes, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions. This role will also analyze product, process, and equipment data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, provide recommendations, and prepare quality reports for stakeholders across the organization, as well as customers and suppliers. Job Description:

  • Handles internal, customer and supplier complaints - Champions issues and leads cross functional teams through the problem resolution process.
  • Interacts directly with the customers and/or suppliers, maintaining and improving relationships (ensuring they remain positive and collaborative).
  • Reviews customer portals, bulletins, and indicators (scorecards) and communicates status updates/changes to AHMC leadership.
  • Understands key process documentation and uses it to drive the business and improve (Flow Charts, FMEA, Control Plans, Work instructions)
  • Applies data and information to drive the business forward, using sound analysis and decision making.
  • Performs inspections and measurements, detailing results by completing reports/logs and inputting data into the appropriate quality database.
  • Collects and compiles data to support customer specific requirements (SPC, MSA, GR&R, CMM data, etc)
  • Supports the APQP/PPAP process (ex. Dimensional review and file preparations, PSW preparations, master sample creation,
  • Keeps equipment and gauges in a high state of operation and readiness by following operating instructions and established procedures, troubleshoots breakdowns, maintains supplies, performing preventive maintenance and arranges for calibrations and/or repairs when needed.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to organization standards, policies, and legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential concerns.
  • Supports production quality and organization success by considering related, different, and new requests and helping others accomplish job results and company objectives.
  • Maintains outstanding communication skills and creates a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
