Quality Control Technician

Reports to: Quality Control Management

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Technician organizes and maintains QC records, samples in-coming raw materials and finished goods, and supports manufacturing and quality control operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Provides entry-level support to manufacturing and quality control departments.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines.
  • Approve and maintain incoming materials to be used in manufacturing.
  • Ensure Compliance with all NADAs/ANDAs
  • Responsible for maintaining approved stability programs.
  • Ensure that assigned products meet quality requirements for the customer and the company.
  • Maintain records, reports and samples.
  • Preform testing on incoming materials and finished goods as necessary.
  • Preforms other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Ability to work independently at times
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to learn production sequences and the company’s quality standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with SAP Business One Preferred

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of related experience, preferably in quality control

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to traverse the production facility
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to travel to off-site warehouses throughout the day
