Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Technician organizes and maintains QC records, samples in-coming raw materials and finished goods, and supports manufacturing and quality control operations.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILIITIES:

1. Provides entry-level support to manufacturing and quality control departments.

2. Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines.

3. Approve and maintain incoming materials to be used in manufacturing and perform Finished Product release.

4. Ensure Compliance with all NADAs/ANADAs.

5. Responsible for maintaining approved stability programs.

6. Maintains files of all retained samples and records for quality control activities.

7. Perform testing on all incoming raw materials and finished goods, including but is not limited to Loss on Drying and Sakaguchi tests.

8. Assure all sampling is properly conducted in a timely manner.

9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

1. Ability to work in a team setting.

2. Ability to work independently at times.

3. Ability to multitask and prioritize.

4. Attention to detail.

5. Excellent listening and communication skills.

6. Ability to learn production sequences and the company's quality standards.

7. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

8. Familiarity with SAP Business One Preferred.

9. Organizational skills; i.e. ability to alphabetize, numerically organize information.

10. Valid Driver's license.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent education.

2. Two years of related experience, preferably in quality control.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

2. Must be able to traverse the production facility.

3. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

4. Must be able to travel to off-site warehouses throughout the day.
