Job Summary: The Weld Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welds in the frames department through meticulous visual inspections and reporting. This role involves collaboration with various departments to address quality concerns, manage audits, and maintain equipment, all while adhering to the Quality Control Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 100% visual inspection of welds in the frames department.
  • Report quality deficiencies in final parts directly to the Quality Team Lead.
  • Track quality deficiencies per weld.
  • Report mistakes or welding issues directly to the QC Manager and track daily information.
  • Ensure supervisors and employees understand and adhere to the Quality Control Program.
  • Receive instructions from the QC Manager regarding project-specific inspections and tests and perform those tasks.
  • Collaborate with departments regarding quality concerns.
  • Monitor shop activities to ensure conformance with applicable building codes, standards, policies, procedures, and drawing specifications.
  • Manage and conduct audits in the processing department.
  • Review and assist in product complaint investigations, supporting supervisors with these investigations.
  • Perform inspections on projects requiring expertise and knowledge under the direct supervision of the Quality Control Manager
  • Maintain equipment operation and calibration.
