A Quality Control Underwriter is responsible for reviewing and evaluating loan files to ensure they meet internal and external guidelines, regulations, and industry standards. Their main goal is to identify errors, inconsistencies, or potential risks in loan documentation and underwriting decisions. By conducting detailed audits and analyses, they help maintain the integrity of the lending process and reduce the risk of defaults or compliance issues.
