Job Title: Quality Control ManagerJob Description

The Quality Control Manager will oversee the quality control organization of the project and ensure full compliance with contract specifications, building codes, and safety standards for vertical construction projects. This role involves reviewing design submissions, performing inspections, writing and reviewing reports, and conducting preparatory meetings with subcontractors and personnel to define quality control and safety policies.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the quality control organization of the project.
  • Assure all materials, workmanship, and construction comply with contract plans and specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable building codes for local, state, and nationwide vertical construction projects.
  • Review design submissions and submittals.
  • Perform inspections and write and review reports.
  • Conduct preparatory meetings with subcontractors and personnel.
  • Define quality control and safety policies, procedures, and features.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years in general construction.
  • 3-5 years of Federal construction experience, specifically with NAVFAC projects.
  • Prior experience with the 3-phase quality control process as per USACE standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • USACE Quality Control Management Certification is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 HR certification is advantageous.
  • Experience with USACE EMR-385 safety procedures is beneficial.

The work is based on projects at Cherry Point, heavily tied to the Federal Construction group out of Jacksonville. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Havelock, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
