Job description

Description
 The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for monitoring and evaluating construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. This role conducts inspections, documents findings, and works with field teams to address deficiencies and maintain overall project quality. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of construction practices, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role. 

Responsibilities
We believe that a quality construction project is critical to our success. The Quality Control Inspector role varies from project to project based on the scopes being performed, but may include the following:
  • Reviewing the project plans and specifications to identify:
  • The code of construction.
  • Required regulatory, owner and Morgan inspection items.
  • Required documentation and record keeping.
  • Required training, qualification, certifications and licensing to successfully implement the project.
  • Research and understand construction codes to communicate and develop construction strategies with the project team to meet the needs of the project.
  • Work with the project team to develop a Project Specific Inspection and Test Plan that will be incorporated into the project schedule to aid in the planning of the work, as well as document the inspections. 
  • Manage Quality activities with the project team, owner, and inspectors.
  • Work with the project team to coordinate the necessary third party, owner, or jurisdictional inspections.
  • Complete the Inspection and Test Plan and generate the necessary turnover packages to satisfy internal and owner requirements.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing QA/QC efforts in Industrial Construction.
  • A strong grasp of many of the codes and standards we deal with such as ASME, ACI, NECA, ASTM, etc.
  • The ability to research codes and standards and work with the project team to develop work plans and ITP’s that will satisfy the requirements of the project.
  • A willingness to work with a team and as well as independently.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Willingness to work outside in various types of environmental conditions or in operating process facilities.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Word and Excel.
  • Strong Organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
