Position Overview

Are you looking for an opportunity to be a part of a new, emerging nuclear market? Our nuclear safety culture is strong at Kiewit Nuclear Solutions. We are currently seeking highly skilled, motivated, and experienced Quality Electrical, Mechanical, Structural & Civil QC Inspectors to join our team. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural & Civil QC inspection settings, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality. This role involves inspecting and testing materials, overseeing construction processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Location

This position will start on an active construction site in Blackfoot, ID (greater ID Falls area). Daily attendance on an active construction site is expected.

Aiken, SC may be a future project location site opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of works and structures to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Perform material testing and analysis, and other relevant assessments.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality control plans and procedures.
  • Identify and document any defects or non-conformities, and work with the construction team to implement corrective actions.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare comprehensive reports on findings.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality-related issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the job site.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5+ years of experience in quality inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in quality control or construction management.
  • Experience with large-scale construction projects.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
