We are seeking a Quality Control Permit Supervisor who is responsible for overseeing and guiding the activities of Permit Specialists, and Project Coordinators on the Permitting QC team. This includes providing clear directions and ensuring alignment with project goals, processes and timelines. He or she will offer strategic support, clarify priorities, and facilitate task delegation to optimize workflow efficiency. Additionally, they play a key role in coordinating efforts across teams, identifying bottlenecks, and helping to ensure that permitting QC processes are executed in a timely and compliant manner.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings and Right-of-Way (ROW) permit plans in PDF format.
  • Implement quality control (QC) and process improvements based on feedback from permitting authorities and stakeholders.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor workloads across team members to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
  • Lead daily team meetings and QC discussions; participate in regular update calls with management and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across multiple projects and clients through effective tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate regularly with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to support project success.
  • Provide clear and timely project status updates to leadership and clients.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, proactively providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of company processes and applicable permitting regulations and requirements.
  • Uphold high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Review and approve team timesheets and project-related invoices for accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including team members, leadership, clients, and external partners.
  • Apply relevant technical expertise within the permitting or telecommunications field to support project execution.
  • Represent the company professionally by adhering to organizational values, standards, and best practices.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in engineering design or related field required.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in engineering design or related field preferred.
  • Proficient with Bluebeam
  • Proficient with MS D365
  • Analytical and observational skills, which demonstrate ability to plan projects, review/recommend technical specifications, coordinate staffing needs, communicate, and manage all aspects of a project.
  • Ability to learn new product lines and technologies to serve departmental needs and goals.
  • Must be able to handle employee issues effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to provide strong leadership through coaching and mentoring with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to motivate employees in a challenging and dynamic business environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong behavioral and high emotional intelligence.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including D365, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with permit tracking software such as Salesforce.
  • Well-organized with the ability to work confidently in a high-pressure/high-energy environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, make decisions, and handle various tasks simultaneously while working efficiently, effectively, and independently under minimal supervision.

Shift is full-time Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm PST. Must be flexible and willing to work outside normal business hours as necessary.
