Job Summary

The QC tech role is vital to the successful delivery of quality asphalt, and aggregate products to construction projects throughout Greater Rochester. This position requires the routine testing on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.โ€ฏThis position requires the ability to work as a team as well as independently to support customers and help build the community.โ€ฏ 

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing routine tests as required on raw materials, process components and final product to ensure that the requirements of the specifications and customers are met
  • Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned  
  • Correct any deviations in these processed or materials from the requirements 
  • Evaluate data for deviations or trends away from accepted standards 
  • Computer Skills:โ€ฏTo perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Database software 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment 
  • Maintain test result database; input dataโ€ฏ 
  • Assist internal and external customers in any quality related matters 
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required 
  • Ability to build partnerships and to work with others to meet shared objectives 
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills 
Job Requirements
  • High school or GED required
  • Experience in quality or engineering is preferred but not required 
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable automobile 
  • Willingness to drive to our multiple sites across the Greater Rochester Region and Southern Tier with mileage reimbursement program
