Quality Control Documentation Auditor

Department: Quality Control

Reports to: Quality Control Manager

Location: Liverpool

Full-Time: A typical work schedule is standard business hours, 8:30 a.m.– 5:00 p.m., with the flexibility to handle escalations or support during peak times or special projects.

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Non-Exempt: Compensation starts at $44,000 to $48,800 annually, depending on experience.

Shift Differential: 2nd Shift, +$1. hour, 3rd Shift, +$2. Hour (Based on hours worked)

Position Summary

The Quality Control Documentation Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of both production output and company documentation. This position is responsible for auditing production files, quality control records, and internal documentation across multiple systems to ensure adherence to established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.

This role works closely with production, compliance, and leadership teams to identify defects, documentation gaps, and process improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in both quality control and documentation auditing within a production or manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions

Quality Control & Production Auditing

  • Inspect materials, in-process work, and completed production files to ensure compliance with quality standards before mailing or release.
  • Review live production files using established quality control checklists to prevent defects, breaches, or compliance failures.
  • Trace and investigate production errors or defective mail pieces to identify root causes.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and consistency.

Documentation Review & Compliance

  • Audit documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and verify records across SharePoint, Jira, HubSpot, Microsoft Office, and other documentation platforms.
  • Identify, correct, and document errors, inconsistencies, and gaps in records or reporting.
  • Maintain detailed audit logs, including findings, resolutions, and recurring trends.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Monitor production and documentation workflows to ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve document control, version management, and reporting accuracy.
  • Generate quality and audit reports, trend analyses, and summaries for management review.
  • Manage Jira boards to track, prioritize, and document quality and audit tasks.

Training & Compliance Support

  • Assist with training production and administrative staff on quality control standards and documentation best practices.
  • Create, maintain, and update SOPs and training materials in collaboration with the compliance team.
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in documentation review, auditing, or quality assurance.
  • Proficiency with:
    • SharePoint
    • JIRA
    • HubSpot
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with executive leadership.
Additional Responsibilities
