Job description

The Inventory and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for receiving QC and inventory control, including all cycle counts and inventory counts. Managing stock to ensure the right amount of supply is available for customer orders and other supplier orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Systematically receive all incoming shipments in a timely fashion
  • Complete daily routine
  • Communicate with management any issues in the department
  • Assist in developing and maintaining warehouse location labelling
  • Comply with corporate policies & procedures
  • Maintain personal workspace & common areas in a neat and presentable manner
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • Replenish stock from overflow location and place in pick pull
  • Monitor inventory and re-organize warehouse by Inventory manager request
  • QC all new products coming in before receiving is complete.
  • Operating a Crown WAV machine in the warehouse aisles
  • Flexible schedule for the ability to stay late or come early if needed
  • Capacity for listening, dealing with confrontation and overcoming objections
  • Possess good reading skills and have a clear speaking voice
  • Customer-centric mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written/computer communication skills
  • Works with the team; contributes to a positive team environment

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer skills are needed for this job, the ability to learn Sage X3 and all the processes within that system.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to lift product, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The ability to operate a Crown WAV machine. Fork lift experience is a plus.
