We are seeking a detail-oriented 2nd shift QC Lab Technician to join our Quality Control team. This position is responsible for performing laboratory testing and product evaluations to ensure cosmetic products and raw materials meet established quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on bench color experience and a strong background in the cosmetics industry.
Location: Holmdel, NJ
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
Type: Contract to hire
Pay Rate: $26.00/hour + $0.50/hour second-shift differential
Training: First 2 weeks on 1st shift, then transition to 2nd shift
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine quality control testing on cosmetic products and raw materials.
  • Conduct bench color evaluations, including color matching, color adjustments, and visual assessments.
  • Accurately document and report laboratory test results in a timely manner.
  • Perform testing in accordance with established SOPs, GMPs, and quality standards.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, including proper calibration, cleanliness, and general upkeep.
  • Assist with investigations involving out-of-specification (OOS) results and support corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Production and R&D teams to maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Follow all applicable safety, sanitation, and environmental procedures.

  • Previous experience working in a QC laboratory is required.
  • Bench color experience is required.
  • Cosmetics industry experience is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently.
