Incoming Quality Control Technician (IQC Technician)

About the Role
Formula Corp is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Incoming Quality Control Technician to join our growing Quality team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that raw materials, packaging components, and production supplies meet company specifications before entering the manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on inspection work, solving quality issues, maintaining accurate documentation, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do
Incoming Material Inspection
  • Perform sampling, inspection, testing, and approval of incoming materials and components in accordance with GMP requirements and company procedures.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, physical, and functional inspections against specifications, purchase orders, and quality standards.
  • Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Certificates of Conformance (COCs), and supplier documentation.
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials and initiate quality hold, rejection, and escalation processes when necessary.
  • Support investigations related to incoming material quality issues.
Documentation & Recordkeeping
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation in electronic and paper-based systems.
  • Scan and organize Safety Data Sheets (SDS), COAs, COCs, and other supplier documentation.
  • Ensure quality records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Quality & Compliance
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support ISO 9001 and quality management system requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities aimed at improving quality, efficiency, and compliance.

Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of manufacturing, warehouse, inspection, quality, laboratory, or related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds as required.
Preferred
  • Associate degree or technical coursework in Quality, Manufacturing, Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in a GMP, FDA-regulated, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, food, beverage, or chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP, inventory management, or quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Experience using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, balances, scales, and other measurement tools.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection plans.
