Job Title: QC Lab Technician
Job Description

As a QC Lab Technician, you will perform essential laboratory tests including pH, Density, Viscosity, Percent Solids, and Moisture. You will utilize a variety of analytical equipment such as Analytical Balances, pH meters, and KFT instruments. Your role involves testing raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products, as well as assisting in the development of new testing methods. Ensuring accurate documentation of all testing data and maintaining a safe, clean working environment are also key aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory tests such as pH, Density, Viscosity, Percent Solids, and Moisture.
  • Operate and maintain analytical equipment including Analytical Balance and pH meters.
  • Perform testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Assist in method development for new testing procedures.
  • Document all testing data accurately and maintain corresponding records.
  • Ensure the laboratory is kept safe and clean.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry or Biology.
  • At least one year of experience in QC Lab testing.
  • Basic understanding of quality control processes and laboratory operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with wet chemistry techniques.
  • Background in quality lab testing and quality control.

Work Environment

This position operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with potential flexibility in start times. The lab is located in a newer, clean building. You will work alongside other lab technicians and chemists, with 90% of the job focused on laboratory testing and 10% on documentation. Opportunities exist for career advancement within the Quality Lab and potential growth into Chemist roles. The company is expanding, having recently acquired a new business in the turf industry.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $28.85/hr.
