Pay: $24.00–$30.00/hour based on experience
Night Shift Differential: Additional 10% on top of base pay

Apache Workforce is currently hiring experienced Quality Control Inspectors for opportunities with TAS Energy in Houston, TX. We are seeking detail-oriented professionals with experience in welding inspections, piping fabrication, and quality systems within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Position Overview

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing quality inspections of structural and piping welds, piping fabrication, and fabricated assemblies. Inspections include visual, dimensional, assembly verification, testing verification, and occasional field inspections to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform visual inspections of welded parts and assemblies according to design requirements
  • Interpret drawings, procedures, specifications, and work instructions to determine product acceptance
  • Conduct dimensional inspections of parts and assemblies within manufacturing facilities, supplier locations, or customer sites
  • Monitor and document testing results including hydrostatic testing, coatings, and process audits
  • Prepare nonconformance reports and maintain inspection documentation
  • Ensure all inspection and testing records are completed accurately
  • Assist with training personnel as directed by management
  • Support quality assurance and compliance initiatives
  • Perform additional duties assigned by TAS Energy management
Qualifications amp; Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, procedures, and safety rules
  • Knowledge of welding inspection and fabrication processes
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using fractions and decimals
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Relevant Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality Management
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with ISO-9000 or similar quality management systems
  • Experience working with codes and standards such as:
    • ASME Section VIII, IX, and V
    • ASME B31.9 and B31.5
    • AWS D1.1
    • SSPC
    • Similar welding, fabrication, or construction quality codes
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate Degree in Applied Science preferred
Minimum Requirements
  • Certified Quality Inspector certification required within one year of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Qualifications in NDE methods or Level II Certification
  • CWI or ACWI certification is a plus
Work Environment amp; Physical Requirements
  • Work performed in a manufacturing and industrial environment
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 30 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, reading, and computer usage required
  • Visual acuity including color recognition, depth perception, and close attention to detail required
  • Ability to analyze inspection data, drawings, and specifications accurately
  • Proper PPE required while in the manufacturing facility
